    Authentic Menorcan cheese with DOP made on the farm (lloc in Catalan) with raw cow's milk and matured in a joint maturing chamber.

    The rind of the artisan cheese is brown in colour. The cheese is firm and easy to cut, yellowish ivory in colour, and has a variable number of small, irregularly distributed eyes, irregularly distributed. It has a more evolved dairy flavour and aromas, reminiscent of butter and toasted nuts (hazelnuts), with a medium persistence in the mouth it has developed the typical "bouquet" of Mahón-Menorca (maturing: 2-5 months).

    A Mahón-Menorca cheese can be kept in the less cold part of the refrigerator, ideally below 10º C, wrapped in plastic film or covered with a damp cloth, thus preventing them from drying out too much.

    The optimum temperature for consumption should be between 18º and 20º C, and it is therefore recommended to take it out of the fridge 30 minutes before consumption.
